Biographical Information

 Salman Khalid has 9 years of research (MS, PhD, and Post-PhD) and 2 years of teaching experience (Assistant Professor) in the field of Industrial AI (machine learning and deep learning), smart materials and structures, design optimization, Finite element modeling and simulation, and damage detection and identification. In my research, I have used “ABAQUS” software for the finite element modeling and simulation and “Python” for machine learning and deep learning research.

 AI-based real time damage detection approach for smart laminated composite structures.

 Structural prognostics and health management of aircraft composite structures.

AI-based age and disease diagnosis in patients.

Prognostics and health management of Oil Painting.

Best Achievement Award in autonomous intelligent machines and systems by Brain Korea 21 Four in recognition of the outstanding paper entitled “Intelligent thermal power plant boiler waterwall tube leakage detection via machine learning based optimal sensor selection” .
